Louise Wilhelmina Hoffmann Eyrich
Louise, the eldest child of John Louis and Emma Hoffmann, was born in New Ulm, Minnesota, August 9, 1878. In a ceremony conducted by the groom's father, Rev. Georg M. Eyrich, Louise was united in marriage with Ernst F. W. Eyrich at Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Ulm, September 11, 1901. They were the parents of eight children, seven of whom survived to adulthood. Louise was active all her adult life in both the Ladies Aid Society at Friedens Church and the Union Hospital Auxillary. For a time she and her family served as live-in caregivers for her mother. After a two-year battle with lung cancer, Louise passed away at age sixty-four on June 21, 1943, while both Lloyd and Loren were deployed overseas with the US Army.
